When it comes to labels about practices, it seems like many large companies have had to make the packaging larger to fit all the claims. Let’s take a look at how we do it…. Mobile: We move their barn everyday to fresh grass. This is important so they have access to fresh forages, bugs, and soil PLUS they are not living in yesterday’s toilet. This greatly improves the health of our birds and you will notice the yellow color of the fat reflecting the higher levels of Vitamin A and many other important fat-soluble nutrients Pasture Raised: Pretty self explanatory. Our chickens never see concrete. They are interacting with healthy soil everyday to have a healthy microbiome. They see the sun and are active when it’s up and sleep when it’s dark. Fresh air flows through their mobile barn and they are protected from predators by the barn and our incredible team of guardian dogs. By moving them daily we target areas of our pastures that need the amazing nutrients (poo) that they leave behind. This creates more robust and diverse grasses for our cattle to enjoy, so be sure to get some of our chicken poo powered grassfed beef, too. Check out our YouTube channel to see how we move the barns, hand feed them, raise them from day old chicks and much more.
